Memorandum dealing with the Despatch of Secretary of State No.54 of 28th. February, 1912, containing suggestions with regard to
Ordinance No. 62 of 1911.
As to No. 9 of 1904, No. 1 of 1871 and No. 9 of 1880c

Reet 3 MAY 12
a reference to the amenduents in these Ordinances made by No. 63 of 1911 makes these references intelligible. Generally it should be remembered that deletions and amendments have
been dealt with seperately in the Revision and the Amendment Ordinances; it is therefore necessary to refer to both in order to see what changes nave been made. I may add that these Ordinances have been subjected to a very careful verifi- -cation, and that I believe, so far as it is inmanly possible, in dealing with such very intricate and fidgetty work, that they are accurate, subject to the few suggestions which have been made by the Secretary of State. the amendment refers, as tuere is only one which is followed by "or to the company". I have however made the amendment.
As to No. 6 of 1887, I agree, the mistake is a serious one, and I shall
have the page reprinted, and the necessary amendment Lode in the Revision Ordinance.
As to No. 3 of 1875, ss. 4 and 6:-
These sections are spent as the alteration in the statutes of the College contemplated were made, and s. 4 contains no reference to a statutory alteration in the future, but only requires this power to be included in the then contemplated
amendment.
As to No. 3 of 1888, ss. 22(1) etc.:-
These amendments were made in order to lighten the language,
as their constant repetition was redundant. The effect of them
